Background: Little is known about Ky Santanna's life before Brainiac's invasion. He was born in Mexico to a family of four, and sent to America at an unknown time. When he gained his ring, Ky had little control and understanding on how to use it, as it did not return him to Oa as one normally would. During his time with Blurr and the others, he would quickly become use to creating basic constructs instead of elaborate contraptions such as the other Lanterns.

Personality: Ky Santana’s life before being the first teenage Green Lantern was not one of happiness, or love, or even truth, but when the Ring chose him, it saw a light that burned to bright inside him that it could not ignore him. Helping form the starting team of the Justice Teens, Lantern showed that he was the most powerful of all Green Lanterns, even though his constructs were more of simple uses rather than extravagant creations. He was often harsh and straight to the point, not letting others push him around. In 2008, Trubie pushed him past his limits, resulting in them getting into an altercation. After the death of Kid Rager, he was asked to help in a war out in the galaxy. Soon after the war, the Guardians of Oa assigned him to Honor Guard, expecting him to help all new Adolescent Green Lanterns. he temporarily resigned from the J.T.A to help, only coming back every once and a while.

As simple and generic as Lantern's constructs are, he is an incredibly powerful Green Lantern, and is the most powerful out of all the teenage Green Lanterns. Though he has little faith in Blurr in the beginning, he believed in helping the team as he was the only one with any real power. As he aged, Ky saw little reason to remain on Earth or the team.
