Background: Quincy’s whole life had been filled with the grandeur and nightlife that the Vegas Strip had to offer. From a young age, his family would view the live shows that took place which would cause Quincy to become enamored with the idea of magic and illusions. His interest in the amazing would only be doubled once superheroes and villains would come to fight off Brainiac’s invasion in 2007. When Brainiac and the Justice Teens battled in Las Vegas later that year, the Mather’s family had moved to Sioux City, Iowa. The Las Vegas life followed Quincy however as he would become something of a novice magician, practicing fake magic and showing off to his family and friends, until the day he got the bright idea that he’d use his talent for good. In 2009, around his 11th birthday, he started training in Karate, only reaching an orange belt, and buying small gadgets: smoke pellets, flash bombs, and other cheap trinkets along with an outfit to create “The Illustrious Parlor Trix”. For some years, he would do pretty okay for a small-town hero, stopping simple muggings, carjackings and the like until in 2011 when Sparky Arrow and his team of renegade J.Ts made their way to the city in search of, surprisingly, Quincy. Within Blurr’s files on Sky Front, Quincy’s name was listed among others. Confused after meeting him, the team left him, but not before being attacked by Regulaters. Even after seeing the true dangers of being a hero, Parlor Trix remained focused on becoming one. His dream would be fully realized when in 2012, Young Fate and Theodore Xater recruited him for unknown reasons, upgrading his arsenal.

 

Personality: To some, Quincy Mathers and Parlor Trix are two different people. Quincy is a well-mannered young man whose high-class lifestyle somehow humbled him, while Parlor Trix is eccentric, exaggerated, and almost narcist. Parlor Trix is the embodiment of what people think Quincy is, but when it comes to being a hero, Parlor is always willing to help his team and give his all, even without powers. Some in the J.T compare him to Batman in the way that he doesn’t allow his humanity to stand in his way.
