Background: Marcus Duncan and his brother Harold were both taken from their family as a child by international terrorist organization called Black Omega and were trained to become some of their top soldiers. While Harold was separated from Marcus and taken to an Omega base in the UK, Marcus was kept in another facility within the heart of Ghana. Marcus was experimented on and genetically enhanced to the point of becoming a child super soldier and trained by the enhanced mercenary known as Gun Metal. As a result, he gained superhuman strength, speed, agility, durability, and stamina; mastered marksmanship with multiple firearms; mastered numerous stealth techniques, assassination techniques, forms of hand-to-hand combat, and various forms of melee weapons; and mastered driving upon coming of age. However, on Marcus’ 16th birthday, Gun Metal left Black Omega. It was then revealed that Gun Metal had made a contract with the Omegas: in exchange for weapons, soldiers, and A LOT of money, she would train Black Omega’s new super soldiers to become powerful weapons. However, since her contract with the Omegas was over, Gun Metal was now free to use her new army to fight her own war against another terrorist organization known as Maelstrom in an attempt to take over. Marcus tried to stop Gun Metal (GM), but failed. It was during their fight that GM told Marcus the truth of her family: He was the son of Michael and Kim Duncan with a brother who'd gone through a similar ordeal both with both Black Omega and the Justice Teen known as Johnny Negani. Gun Metal used this information to catch Marcus off guard and attempt to kill him. Her attack failed, however, and Marcus escaped. Upon his discovery, Marcus sought out to contact Ritz Marshall for help (as she had prior experience fighting both Black Omega and Maelstrom before). Marshall agreed to help him get his family back and stop the Omegas from taking more children. The pair travels to Omega HQ to take down the organization’s metahuman leader: Whetstone. Unfortunately, they learn from Whetstone that Harold (Marcus' older brother) had already escaped the Omega genetic research base nearly a month beforehand. Enraged, Marcus continually beats on Onyx to get the "truth out of him". Marshall forces Marcus to stop and the 2 leave the Omega base. Marshall then decides to recruit Marcus as the newest member of the Justice Teens- stating that with more training and restraint, Marcus could potentially become a valuable asset to the family. Marcus would take up this offer on joining the Justice Teens and thus donned the guise of the Black Ghost.
3 months later, however, on his 18th birthday, everything changes. One night while out on a mission investigating a lead on a new vigilante in Gotham brutally beating on and crippling criminals, Ghost first meets Crosshairs: the one behind all of the new attacks. Crosshairs states that although he and Ghost have similar abilities and are both fairly sufficient with munitions, he has more efficient methods of taking down criminals. Ghost dismisses this and the pair continue their fight until eventually Cross escapes. They continue to fight off and on for the next month when Ghost finally learns the truth by knocking off Cross' helmet: Crosshairs is actually his brother Harold. Ghost then attempts to talk Harold down telling him of their family and revealing what happened to them. Cross, reeling back from this information, escapes confused and angered; vowing to find the truth no matter what.
Personality: Jokester; Supportive (willing to give advice to whoever needs it); Protective. (He's kind of an asshole in a funny, likable sort of way. However, he does get serious, angry, and brutal when the time comes. Anyone that truly disgusts him or threatens his loves ones sees the serious side.
